Affectionately known as the ‘poor man’s Bracelet‘, and just because Hermès’s are many times more expensive, Balenciaga’s leather Bracelets are also everyone’s go-to Bracelet (it was mine when I was little), something affordable that came in many colors, finishes and lengths. Over the years, of course, some styles have been removed, new ones added, and walking into a Balenciaga boutique recently, I realized that I recognized very few.
In other words, it was time for an update.
Quickly scanning through Balenciaga online, this is what I got. There are at least 6 different types available now, and they range from single bangle style Bracelets to those that can be wrapped around the wrist multiple times (also known asTriple Tour) . In addition to competing with the seasonal colors, they also come with hardware in different colors. There isClassic Gold,Classic Silverand only theClassic(which I assume is the hardware that comes blackened and polished for the aged look).
Then there are those that differ by the size of their studs, namely theGiant GoldSerie. In addition to the fact that the studs are larger as well, they also come detailed with a grid pattern, like an Engraving if you will.
Rounding out today’s selection are new ones known asClassic Metallic border, which appear to be “outlined” on the leather cuff (see rows 4 and 5). Available in single or triple course combinations, these are also the ‘showiest’ of the lot, good for those who want their #wristbandsto go a longer way.
Best of all, they’re all available online via Balenciaga, now shipping to Singapore. Prices are in USD, shipping costs will be extra, so get a few friends together, pick a few, and share the charges. #happyshopping
